@andrewburnett is dead

For those of you hoping to read the gory details of my demise, I’m sorry to disappoint.

The twitter profile @andrewburnett is however dead.

If you want to follow, my new profile is @the_emecks

For months now none of my tweets have shown up in twitter search, as such they didn’t show up in nambu or tweetdeck conversations either. After various attempts to get support from twitter (including offering to pay $100 for it – possible monetisation there ;) ) I’ve given up and decided to get a new profile.

Proof Of Life

Just to prove I’m actually still alive and to put your minds at rest here’s a pic.

Andrew Burnett, the man, still alive and well

Now you’re finished ogling my pic, remember to follow @the_emecks if you still want to get my tweets!

Updates

So, not everyone believed that the picture above was a valid proof of life – I hope this next picture puts your minds at rest again. It was the cheapest newspaper available, so my frugal Scots / Swiss credentials are intact.

The cheapest newspaper with today's date on it.

Also my apologies to Edward for thinking the headline was true, but also thanks to him for his most excellent eulogy for me :D

    …and every time I open up a ticket on this issue they close it. I’m contemplating doing the same thing myself, it’s very annoying.

    How do we know that pic is recent – I think you need to be holding a copy of todays newspaper.

  3. Andrew says:

    @Simon, I haven’t even been able to raise a ticket for over a month…

    @Chasing Distractions, does replying to your comment count? Or do I need to go and buy a newspaper?

  4. Laura Wynn (1 comments.) says:

    Glad to see you’re alive. Though I agree; could be a ghost tweeter behind the scenes.

  5. Chris says:

    Careful Chasing Distractions .. it could be photoshopped….

  6. Paul Steven (1 comments.) says:

    Aye a newspaper is needed, for all we know you could be anybody twittering from Andy’s Mac while he lies torm and tormented, gagged and bound, in a lowly Edinburgh bolt hole … we’re on tae ya!

  7. Andrew says:

    @Laura, thanks :)

    @Chris, if I were to ’shop such a thing I’d chose an infinitely more classy rag than the Express ;)

    @Paul & @Chasing Distractions – happy now??
